Buy an eSIM

Triple scoop: data · calls · SMS

Local network. Local number.

Every Taro eSIM comes with a local number for calls and SMS — so the driver, the front desk and the clinic can reach you.

Lower latency. Safer network path.

No international roaming chain means less network exposure.

Personal number privacy.

Local eSIM number protects your personal number from exposure.

  1. When you buy

    Purchase details stay confidential.

Your order information is never handed to the businesses you deal with abroad.

  2. During the trip

    They get the travel number.

Give it to the front desk, a driver or a clinic. Your personal number never enters the chain.

  3. When it ends

The number expires with the plan.

Later calls no longer reach you — nothing to cancel, nothing left behind.

Local, not routed home

A shorter path.
Less waiting.

Most Taro plans ride a network in the destination instead of tunnelling back through your home carrier.

0 International roaming hops on a local plan — fewer handoffs, less network exposure.

Check your phone first.

No website can detect eSIM support — one minute, three checks.

  1. Look for "Add eSIM" in settings — or dial *#06# and check for an EID.
  2. Confirm the phone is carrier-unlocked. Only your original carrier can unlock it.
  3. Mainland-China iPhones often ship without eSIM — ask us before you buy.

Does every plan include a number?

Yes. Every plan ships with a local number that can receive ordinary calls. Only SMS and outgoing calls vary — the four fields on each card say which.

When does the plan start?

Most plans start on install or first connection. A few start when we email the eSIM; the plan states it before you pay.

Can it receive bank verification codes?

Carriers do not guarantee OTP delivery to travel numbers. Keep your personal SIM available for verification codes.

What happens when the days run out?

The travel number expires with the plan. Later calls to it no longer reach you, and your personal number was never exposed.
