BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions people ask before their first Taro plan.

Does every plan include a local number?

Yes. Every plan includes a local number. What varies is calls and SMS, and each plan states which are included.

Why use a travel number?

Anything booked before the trip already carries your home number. The travel number is for what you arrange after landing: same-day bookings, a driver calling to find you, or the front desk reaching you while you are out.

Can hotels and drivers call it?

Yes, on call-enabled plans. Check the incoming-call allowance before buying.

Is my purchase information confidential?

Yes. Taro keeps the personal and order information provided during purchase completely confidential.

What happens when the travel number expires?

Later calls or messages to the expired travel number no longer reach you.

Does a Europe plan include multiple local numbers?

Not necessarily. Each plan shows its number country, country code, coverage, calls and SMS.

Can it receive verification codes?

SMS support does not guarantee verification-code delivery. Check the selected plan first.

When does the plan start?

Activation varies by plan. Check whether it starts on installation, redemption or first connection.

How and when do I get the eSIM?

After payment is confirmed, your eSIM arrives by email within five minutes, with the QR code and step-by-step install instructions.

Will it work on my phone?

You need an eSIM-capable phone that is carrier-unlocked. The QR code installs once, so install it on the phone you are travelling with.

Do I keep my own SIM?

Yes. A Taro plan installs alongside the SIM you already use, so your home number stays reachable while Taro carries your data and travel number.

Can I share the data with a laptop?

Yes — hotspot sharing is supported. The plan page confirms it for the plan you pick.

Can I call home on the travel number?

Some plans include international minutes or a calling credit. The plan page lists the exact allowance.

Where can I use a Taro plan?

Eleven destinations today, from a local network in the country you are visiting or a regional roaming plan. See all plans.
