14 plans · every plan includes a local number

Incoming calls are included on every plan except China + UK, where they depend on the tier. Data, SMS and validity differ by plan.

Anything booked from home already has your home number. What you arrange after landing needs one locals can dial.

Same-day bookings and non-app taxis reach you by phone, not through your apps.

01

SAME-DAY BOOKINGS

Local restaurants, clinics and tour operators confirm by phone.

Booked after you land, so the number you give them is the one that has to work.

02

WHEN THE DRIVER CALLS

Where ride apps do not operate, the driver calls to find you.

Japan, Mongolia, the Maldives and Guam still run on phone calls.

03

AT CHECK-IN

Give the front desk a number that reaches you while you are out.

The booking carries your home number. Check-in is where the local one takes over.

These are incoming calls, not verification codes. Check each plan for SMS support before buying.

Nobody in the chain gets your personal number.

  1. WHEN YOU BUY

    Purchase details stay completely confidential.

Personal and order information provided at purchase stays confidential.

  2. DURING THE TRIP

Travel businesses receive the temporary number.

Give it to the front desk, a driver or a clinic. Your personal number never enters the chain.

  3. WHEN THE PLAN ENDS

The travel number expires with the plan.

Later calls or messages to that expired number no longer reach you.

Questions before purchase: support@taromobile.com
Does every plan include a travel number?

No. Each plan shows whether a travel number, calls or SMS are included.

Why use a travel number?

Anything booked before the trip already carries your home number. The travel number is for what you arrange after landing: same-day bookings, a driver calling to find you, or the front desk reaching you while you are out.

Can hotels and drivers call it?

Yes, on call-enabled plans. Check the incoming-call allowance before buying.

Is my purchase information confidential?

Yes. Taro keeps the personal and order information provided during purchase completely confidential.

What happens when the travel number expires?

Later calls or messages to the expired travel number no longer reach you.

Does a Europe plan include multiple local numbers?

Not necessarily. Each plan shows its number country, country code, coverage, calls and SMS.

Can it receive verification codes?

SMS support does not guarantee verification-code delivery. Check the selected plan first.

When does the plan start?

Activation varies by plan. Check whether it starts on installation, redemption or first connection.
